Field Service Engineer – Waste Recycling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to clients in Italy and Eastern Europe

• Cover the Central and Southern regions of Italy

• Install, commission, maintain, optimize, and repair sensor-based sorting machines at TOMRA Recycling installation sites

• Ensure the highest performance of TOMRA sorting systems in the field

• Deliver outstanding customer experiences through effective communication and support

• Optimize sorting systems and processes by conducting sampling and testing

• Identify opportunities to enhance value through additional TOMRA products, solutions, and services

• Serve as a liaison between customers and Headquarters

• Gather and relay market feedback to identify new customer opportunities

• Participate in required training at TOMRA's training center in Germany and gain practical field experience alongside seasoned colleagues

• Travel extensively, primarily within Italy, with occasional international trips

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed secondary technical education (FP2) or higher with a focus on electrician/electronics, automation, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline

• Willingness to travel 80% of the time or more

• Previous work experience in an industrial setting with an emphasis on preventive and corrective maintenance is a significant advantage

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting

• Proficiency in computer applications, PC configuration, and network structures

• Effective communication skills for customer interactions

• Native Italian speaker with proficient English language skills

• Full clean driving license is mandatory

• Knowledge of the metal scrap industry and recycling processes is a plus
