Field Service Engineer, Roadside Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, test, and maintain roadside technology and equipment.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, electrical, and network issues.

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment calibration.

• Troubleshoot connectivity challenges involving networks, cabling, and related systems.

• Keep accurate technical records and service documentation.

• Operate safely in roadside and outdoor environments.

• Independently manage assigned tasks while collaborating with customers and technical teams.

• Engage in on-call support and travel to regional sites, which may include occasional overnight stays.

• Regularly drive and work outdoors while fulfilling on-call duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years of practical experience in field engineering, telecommunications, IT infrastructure, or technical maintenance.

• Strong skills in technical fault-finding and equipment troubleshooting.

• Practical understanding of networking, LAN/WAN connectivity, cabling, and Microsoft operating systems.

• Experience in installing, configuring, or maintaining hardware and software.

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems or wiring.

• A safety-first mindset with the ability to work independently with confidence.

• Excellent communication, organization, and technical reporting abilities.

• A full, valid UK driving licence is required.

• Employment is contingent upon relevant pre-employment screening and compliance checks.

• Experience with CCTV, fibre networks, roadside infrastructure, or intelligent transport systems is a plus but not mandatory.

• Relevant technical qualifications and safety certifications are encouraged.
