Field Service Engineer – Pulp & Washing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Execute process and field services for Pulp & Energy Solutions equipment and products within pulp and paper mills.

• Carry out start-up and commissioning services.

• Perform inspections and condition evaluations.

• Support maintenance and service contracts.

• Conduct process and emissions optimization.

• Troubleshoot equipment and offer emergency support.

• Plan and implement outages.

• Provide guidance on construction for rebuilds, upgrades, and capital projects.

• Conduct root cause analysis.

• Create O&M procedures and perform data monitoring and reporting as instructed.

• Compile and submit comprehensive service reports.

• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, Product Engineers, and Sales teams.

• Build relationships with key clients and conduct service sales visits.

• Offer hands-on supervision for equipment maintenance, repair, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and installation at customer locations.

• Diagnose problems and deliver technical solutions during scheduled and emergency service outages.

• Independently lead projects at customer sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

• At least five years of relevant hands-on mechanical experience.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Preferred working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, pipefitting, millwrighting, and machining.

• Capability to interpret blueprints and diagrams.

• Ability to oversee projects and manage all facets of leading a subcontractor crew.

• Willingness to travel by air or automobile for up to 200 days annually.

• Excellent facilitation and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Proficient PC skills.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical are required as a condition of employment.
