This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Install, maintain, and repair Beckman Coulter laboratory instruments.
• Perform troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repairs.
• Deliver efficient on-site technical support and provide training on products.
• Keep precise customer service logs and internal service records.
• Order repair parts and follow cycle times.
• Utilize OBI, Sales Force, and SharePoint for service call planning and to enhance team objectives.
• Engage with internal and external customers to address their specific needs.
• Support the training of new Field Service Engineers.
• Travel across the assigned New England territory and offer additional support outside this area as needed.
• Complete service documentation, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions while adhering to company performance and compliance standards.
• Associate degree in a technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related field, or equivalent military experience.
• Over 1 year of experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.
• Experience in managing a dynamic service schedule involving regional travel.
• Capability to independently complete service documentation, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions.
• Ability to meet company performance and compliance standards.
• Willingness to travel 100% within the assigned territory, with additional support outside the area as necessary.
• Limited overnight travel availability.
• Possess a current valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record over the past three years.
• Capability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended durations.
• Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend the neck; and demonstrate proficient hand and finger dexterity.
• Previous field service experience in medical devices, biotech, or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
• Experience in customer-facing roles in high-pressure hospital or lab environments is a plus.
