This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Oversee and carry out all pre-installation, installation, and equipment start-up tasks with minimal or no supervision.
• Serve as the company's point of contact with customers by delivering status updates, addressing information inquiries, resolving concerns, and advising on schedule modifications.
• Prepare equipment for process acceptance through testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure adherence to contract specifications.
• Identify and rectify 90% of hardware issues, demonstrating expertise in software failures related to assigned equipment.
• Record system issues and the actions taken before, during, and after installations.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call support for issues related to installed equipment as needed.
• Accurately and promptly submit performance data, timesheets, field service reports, and travel expense reports.
• Mentor less experienced employees and customer representatives on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Uphold customer satisfaction while advocating for company interests.
• Assist in maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades following technical acceptance.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, electronic, electromechanical, pneumatic, automation, and robotics systems.
• Skilled in interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Proficient in using hand tools, multimeters, and helium leak checkers.
• Knowledge of high-purity gas supply systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally more than 75% of the time.
• Availability to work off-hours, including weekends and shifts of up to 12 hours.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to meet clean-room contamination exposure prevention requirements, including the use of equipment such as SCBA.
• Willingness to provide 24-hour on-call support when required.
