Field Service Engineer – Medical Imaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Cultivate customer relationships by leveraging technical expertise.

• Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain medical imaging equipment at client locations.

• Deliver excellent customer service by managing expectations, adhering to commitments and arrival times, and addressing customer requirements.

• Gain insights into customers’ businesses and their competitive landscapes to drive service revenue.

• Engage in regional teams to enhance team processes.

• Identify areas for training improvement and enhance skills and capabilities, including obtaining qualifications in various modalities and acquiring new tools.

• Fulfill administrative responsibilities such as completing timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders, preventive maintenance, installation documentation, and site/service records.

• Comply with training, quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Utilize tools, support systems, resources, and escalation procedures to resolve customer and system issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance, Field Change Orders, installations, and similar tasks.

• Diagnose and address electronic, network, and mechanical issues.

• Travel approximately 70% within the designated area, with an average daily driving time of 1–4 hours; occasional overnight, air, and train travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a diagnostic imaging service environment (field or hospital-based) or at least 3 years in electromechanical industries.

• Preferred background in Image Guided Therapy (IGT) imaging equipment.

• Capability to comprehend and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking principles to install, diagnose, and repair equipment.

• Proficient in the use of all essential tools and testing equipment.

• Associate Degree in electronics or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Ability to function effectively in an office/home office or remote setting, as well as in a hospital/healthcare environment.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations.

• Competence in safely handling radiation sources and/or radioactive materials.

• Preparedness to wear all required personal protective equipment.

• U.S. work authorization is mandatory; no current or future visa sponsorship will be provided.
