Field Service Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, and repair diagnostic equipment.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.

• Troubleshoot technical issues across complex instruments.

• Record solutions and close service requests within specified timeframes.

• Address customer concerns through resolution or escalation.

• Cultivate customer relationships through proactive communication.

• Organize and prioritize service visits effectively.

• Keep an accurate inventory of parts and supplies.

• Participate in on-call rotation, after-hours support, and travel for training or critical account assistance.

• Adhere to regulatory, quality system, and laboratory safety standards.

• Maintain documentation for audit purposes.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Mentor other Field Service Representatives.

• Achieve service sales, cost-of-service, and KPI objectives.

• Utilize remote support tools to enhance instrument uptime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.

• 2–5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology.

• Willingness to travel 25% within the designated territory.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to laboratory instrumentation.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, VPN, and remote troubleshooting tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Commitment to maintaining certifications through continuous training and development.
