Field Service Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Install diagnostic systems while performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.

• Diagnose technical issues with complex instruments, document solutions, and finalize service calls within specified timeframes.

• Address customer concerns from resolution to escalation, fostering strong customer relationships.

• Organize and prioritize service visits, manage inventory, and provide support during on-call rotation and after-hours coverage.

• Travel for training sessions or critical support for key accounts.

• Adhere to regulatory, quality system, and laboratory safety standards while maintaining audit documentation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor Field Service Representatives.

• Achieve service sales, cost-of-service, and KPI objectives for designated accounts.

• Utilize remote support tools to enhance instrument uptime.

• Keep certifications current through continuous training and development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

• 2-5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology.

• Willingness to travel 25% within the assigned territory.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities with laboratory instrumentation.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team settings.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, VPN, and remote troubleshooting tools.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Competence in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing diagnostic instruments.

• Knowledge of regulatory, quality system, and laboratory safety protocols.

• Commitment to maintaining certifications through ongoing training and development.
