Field Service Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, and repair designated diagnostic instruments.

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.

• Identify technical issues across various complex instruments.

• Accurately document solutions and finalize service calls within specified timeframes.

• Handle customer concerns from initial contact through resolution or escalation.

• Foster robust customer relationships through proactive communication.

• Organize and prioritize service appointments.

• Keep precise inventory records.

• Participate in on-call rotation, after-hours support, and travel for training or urgent account assistance.

• Adhere to regulatory, quality system, and laboratory safety protocols.

• Maintain thorough documentation for audit purposes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor Field Service Representatives.

• Achieve service sales, cost-of-service, and KPI objectives.

• Utilize remote support tools to enhance instrument uptime.

• Sustain certifications through ongoing education and development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

• 2–5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology.

• Willingness to travel 25% within the designated territory.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with laboratory instrumentation.

• Capacity to work independently and excel in team settings.

• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, VPN, and remote troubleshooting tools.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must reside within the Baton Rouge, Louisiana territory.
