Field Service Engineer – Commercial Gas

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, repair, overhaul, and service products while adhering to quality standards and established protocols.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to relay logic and PLC-based control systems.

• Prepare accurate and timely reports, ensuring that all associated paperwork is submitted promptly.

• Provide exceptional customer service and fulfill client needs during on-site visits.

• Offer proactive solutions and suggest product alternatives and additional services when applicable.

• Identify opportunities for improvements in products, services, and operations.

• Generate detailed internal reports on product failures and engage in on-site evaluations.

• Follow safe working practices and comply with Health and Safety regulations.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.

• Work collaboratively with team members and departments to achieve service standards and business goals.

• Maintain strong relationships across various departments.

• Participate in training opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Located in the Glasgow area.

• Significant experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.

• GCSE qualifications (A-C), A Levels, or an Apprenticeship qualification/HNC.

• Key commercial gas certifications: CIGA1, CENWAT, COCN1, CPA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A.

• 18th Edition certification is a plus.

• A valid, clean full driving license is required.

• A current and valid CSCS card or equivalent is necessary.

• Familiarity with HVAC products and systems.

• Competence in producing accurate reports and paperwork.

• Strong grasp of engineering principles, especially in manufacturing, construction, or mechanical services.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic PC applications.

• Understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance standards.

• Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.

• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision in the field.

• High self-motivation focused on delivering quality and efficiency.

• Proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to perform well under pressure.

• Skill in effectively managing relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented and able to thrive under pressure.
