Field Service Engineer – Chromatography

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with the on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of company and potentially multi-vendor systems solutions.

• Install and enhance hardware, software, and networking products and configurations at customer locations.

• Identify and resolve product performance issues.

• Conduct maintenance and repairs.

• Provide customers with advice on preventive maintenance and configurations that could affect product performance.

• Proactively address potential equipment issues to avert unexpected business disruptions.

• Deliver comprehensive solutions that include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.

• Train other field engineers and customers on the solutions provided.

• Cover the Northern California (Bay Area) territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's, Master's, or other university degree, preferably in the science field; candidates with a relevant combination of training, education, and direct experience will also be considered.

• Over 4 years of experience in a similar role and/or experience as an end-user of analytical equipment.

• Knowledge or expertise in Chromatography (LC, GC, and MS).

• Familiarity with Agilent hardware and software is advantageous.

• Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving in a complex customer-facing environment.

• Familiarity with Agilent solutions is preferred but not mandatory.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel to various locations daily and engage with a diverse clientele.

• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Must fulfill Agilent's approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary for site access, which may encompass post-employment background checks, drug screenings, vaccinations, fingerprinting, valid identification, and customer-specific substance abuse programs.
