Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventive and scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, programming, parts exchange, basic installation, and repairs.

• Support colleagues and supervisors with complex technical service tasks.

• Oversee the delivery of products and services within designated projects or service contracts.

• Assess customer requirements and installed systems; execute or suggest repairs, replacements, or corrective measures.

• Offer end-user assistance and troubleshoot issues.

• Handle escalated customer support tickets.

• Engage with customers in person, via phone, and through videoconferencing.

• Deliver customer training; organize and schedule work activities.

• Execute approved system modifications, engineering change orders, and software updates.

• Create site visit reports, service advisory documents, configuration documentation, test records, certification materials, training resources, and support documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field, or advanced technical certifications along with 2+ years of field service experience is required.

• A comparable combination of education and experience in a technical support role will be taken into account.

• Basic proficiency in one product line.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively and exercise sound judgment while collaborating with both internal and external organizations.

• Demonstrated skills in customer relationship management.

• Professional documentation capabilities.

• Excellent ability to learn technical concepts and tools.

• Willingness to learn or existing knowledge of science-based applications relevant to the business area.

• A current U.S. Passport.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with a target of 85% of the time each year.

• Must be currently eligible to work in the U.S.
