Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Install, diagnose, maintain, and repair TRUMPF CNC machines.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers.

• Collaborate closely with customers and machinery to ensure equipment functions within expected tolerances.

• Coordinate with Product Support for technical assistance and provide diagnostic insights.

• Utilize visual cues, software applications, and diagnostic tools to identify machine issues.

• Reference and apply company repair manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.

• Recommend modifications or updates to existing technical documentation when necessary.

• Assemble, install, calibrate equipment, and clean or replace parts to ensure seamless machinery operation.

• Precisely document technical conditions and machine data for PSG and management review.

• Engage with applications, sales, engineering, production, and other cross-functional teams.

• Deliver onsite training for customers regarding machine operation and repair.

• Provide well-organized and informative service reports for each repair assignment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or completion of a technical program in Engineering principles, or a comparable blend of education and experience.

• Background in computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, and hydraulics is advantageous.

• Must possess and uphold a clean and valid driver's license and driving record.

• Requires 100% nationwide travel, including overnight stays and occasional weekend and international travel.
