Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Commission, test, integrate, and launch TOMRA sorting equipment.

• Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical enhancements.

• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and system-related challenges.

• Provide both on-site and remote technical assistance to clients.

• Enhance machine performance and ensure maximum equipment uptime.

• Conduct training sessions for operators and maintenance personnel.

• Compile comprehensive service reports and technical documentation.

• Assist Sales and Project Management teams with technical knowledge.

• Engage in on-call support activities as necessary.

• Communicate field feedback and suggestions for improvements to internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience in Field Service, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Commissioning, or similar technical settings.

• Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work independently and manage technical issues on-site.

• Experience engaging directly with customers in industrial settings.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Customer-oriented and service-focused mindset.

• Exceptional analytical and diagnostic skills.

• Self-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.

• Strong organizational and reporting capabilities.

• Comfortable operating in multicultural and international environments.

• Japanese: Business-level proficiency.

• English: Professional working proficiency.

• Willingness to travel extensively within Japan.

• Capability to travel internationally as required.

• Valid driver's license.
