This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Provide exceptional mechanical service to improve machine functionality and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Assist in the delivery, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and continual servicing of TOMRA Food solutions.
• Ensure that mechanical systems meet customer expectations.
• Address field mechanical machine issues promptly and ensure quick resolution.
• Keep customers updated on resolution strategies and potential costs.
• Execute mechanical installation, commissioning, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations.
• Install, inspect, and service sprockets, chains, belts, shafts, bearings, gearboxes, motors, rollers, frames, guarding, and other structural components.
• Analyze, assess, and diagnose mechanical equipment, troubleshooting machine issues to a resolution.
• Conduct preventative, pre-season, and post-season maintenance to boost machine performance.
• Provide updates to customers and inform sales leadership of sales opportunities or customer concerns.
• Maintain close communication with the customer care center team and deliver regular updates.
• Address or escalate customer complaints, ensuring timely, clear, and professional investigation or resolution.
• Foster a safety-first culture within the company, among customers, and throughout the industry.
• An industrial trade qualification in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, electronic, automation, or industrial manufacturing is preferred, or an equivalent degree/diploma.
• At least 3 years of experience as a field service engineer or an equivalent educational background.
• Relevant experience in troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in PC building, repair, and diagnostic testing.
• Strong working knowledge of PC and MS Office suite is required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and/or governmental regulations.
• Proficient in solving practical problems.
• Experience with packaging and/or printing machinery is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a robust customer service orientation.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service delivery setting.
• Capable of frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, and working in confined spaces.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Capable of lifting up to 20 Kg regularly.
• Able to distinguish the full range of colors in the color spectrum.
• No significant food allergies that would hinder working around or near food, nuts, fruits, and vegetables.
• Capacity to work in food processing facilities, farms, cold storage environments, and outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 40% of the time.
• Must be able to drive without restrictions and hold a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain a valid passport for travel purposes.
