Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, test, maintain, and enhance TOMRA sensor-based sorting systems throughout Australia.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical, electronic, mechanical, software, and network systems.

• Offer technical assistance to clients and internal teams.

• Conduct training sessions for operators and maintenance personnel within customer organizations.

• Oversee service operations, upgrades, and project-related tasks.

• Generate precise service reports and maintain documentation.

• Spot opportunities for enhancements, upgrades, and spare parts sales.

• Work in conjunction with Project Management, Sales, and Technical Support teams.

• Ensure all activities are performed safely and in line with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Travel frequently across Australia and occasionally abroad.

⛳️ Requirements

• A qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a relevant Engineering field.

• At least 3 years of experience in supporting industrial equipment in a Field Service, Maintenance, or Technical Support role.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities in electrical and electronic systems.

• Strong mechanical skills and a hands-on approach to solving problems.

• Effective communication and customer relationship management skills.

• Capability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid Driver's License.

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full work rights.

• Familiarity with optical sorting technology is preferred.

• Experience in the recycling sector is preferred.

• Knowledge of industrial networking, IT systems, and cybersecurity concepts is advantageous.

• Additional language proficiency is a plus.
