Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Install, integrate, validate, service, repair, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and support Binding Site product systems along with their associated software.

• Provide prompt technical assistance to customers and colleagues, including support via remote access.

• Diagnose issues and restore full functionality of the systems.

• Engage in technical discussions regarding both hardware and software components.

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance visits.

• Complete thorough service reports within the Service CRM system.

• Keep accurate records of spare parts and assist with stock checks and reconciliations.

• Update laboratory instruments for clients with necessary software and data management upgrades.

• Offer reliability and quality feedback to global product teams.

• Deliver installation and maintenance training to end users.

• Conduct initial laboratory visits to verify instrument placements, installation locations, and any required hydraulic, electrical, or logistical work.

• Assist with LIS interfacing using company management tools.

• Support and advocate for middleware products utilizing networking and client/server expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated experience in a scientific or engineering environment, such as clinical/research laboratories, electronics, biotechnology, or medical devices.

• Proven IT skills for managing laboratory middleware.

• Strong technical skills coupled with effective problem-solving capabilities.

• Customer-oriented with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

• Proficiency in both written and verbal English and Italian.

• Willingness to travel on short notice and occasionally work weekends or unsociable hours.

• 75–85% of working time will be spent in the field.

• Valid driving license.
