Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, and maintain Packsize equipment solutions at various customer locations.

• Identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair intricate mechanical equipment.

• Address challenging customer inquiries regarding product features.

• Conduct start-up testing and provide customer training on product capabilities, features, and routine maintenance.

• Develop and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with customers.

• Collaborate closely with Packsize support team members to deliver outstanding customer service.

• Organize tasks at customer job sites.

• Resolve issues utilizing technical drawings and documentation.

• Execute routine maintenance and emergency service tasks.

• Continuously familiarize yourself with customer operational processes, packaging designs, and technical specifications.

• Install Packsize solutions and instruct others on their usage and maintenance.

• Perform clerical and administrative responsibilities, including responding to emails, preparing expense reports, arranging travel, and drafting technical reports.

• Accurately communicate information and ideas with Packsize and customer personnel.

• Comply with Packsize and customer safety requirements and protocols concerning moving parts and electricity.

• Work Monday through Friday during the day shift, with occasional overnight shifts.

• Travel domestically, often requiring overnight stays.

• Strong focus on customer service.

• Proficient with Windows operating systems.

• Effective utilization of hand tools.

• Knowledge of mechanical platforms.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Basic experience with Microsoft (Excel, Word) or Google Suite (Sheets, Docs) is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Associate's Degree, vocational training, or equivalent experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Availability for on-call duties.

• Willingness and ability to frequently lift materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Capability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.

• Ability to navigate inside and outside of equipment, warehouses, and office spaces, positioning oneself for work on equipment.

• Proficiency in operating hand and power tools, computers, and other office equipment.

• Occasionally able to ascend and descend ladders to reach elevated areas on equipment.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Willingness to travel by vehicle or airplane, domestically.
