Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Service both new and existing Essemtec systems throughout North America

• Offer technical and application services on-site, remotely, and through a hotline

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, upgrade, and retrofit systems

• Provide support for hardware and software products on-site and troubleshoot/error-analyze systems remotely

• Demonstrate system capabilities and conduct customer training sessions

• Analyze system operations

• Manage inventory, trip planning, expenses, service reports, and other related administrative tasks

• Document field activities in CRM, ERP, or company applications

• Maintain protocols, manuals, and the service knowledge base

• Collaborate with engineering teams to address unique cases and provide product feedback

• Conduct follow-ups after service to enhance customer satisfaction

• Escalate customer challenges for resolution

• Represent Essemtec in a professional manner

• Travel occasionally to international headquarters for training and product/service orientation

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, robotics, PCB assembly, or similar technical fields

• Associate's degree or equivalent technical work experience of 2-4 years in field service

• Capability to understand and interpret detailed documents, drawings, and specifications

• Proficient in using test equipment and hand tools

• Strong customer service, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities

• Ability to perform well under pressure and manage time constraints while handling challenging and unexpected field situations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Self-motivated, independent, solution-oriented, and organized in approach

• Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety

• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally approximately 70%-80%
