Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations across Houston and Texas.

• Conduct preventive maintenance activities.

• Calibrate precision testing instruments.

• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.

• Install and commission new systems.

• Identify mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.

• Offer technical advice and practical training to customers.

• Complete service documentation, field reports, and expense accounts.

• Uphold professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction during service visits.

• Adhere to company and customer safety protocols.

• Provide support to customers throughout Texas, including occasional travel to other regions for training, customer assistance, or special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• Military technical experience or training from trade school may be considered as an alternative to a degree.

• Proficient mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.

• Comfortable using Windows-based computers and technical software applications.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.

• Previous field service experience is a plus.

• Experience in preventive or corrective maintenance of electro-mechanical or servo-hydraulic machinery.

• Familiarity with materials testing systems.

• Experience in delivering technical training to customers in both practical and classroom environments.

• Background in industrial automation or controls.

• Willingness to travel daily throughout Houston and Texas.

• Approximately 75% of travel will involve overnight stays.
