Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations across Texas to conduct preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and the installation and commissioning of new systems.

• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.

• Offer technical support and hands-on training to customers.

• Ensure accurate completion of service documentation, field reports, and expense reports.

• Uphold professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction during service engagements.

• Adhere to company and client safety protocols.

• Provide support to customers throughout Texas, with occasional travel to other regions based on business requirements.

• Operate independently as a home-based field service engineer while benefiting from the support of a knowledgeable technical team.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• Military technical experience or trade school training may be accepted as an alternative to a degree.

• Proficient mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

• Comfortable using Windows-based computers and technical software.

• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service competencies.

• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.

• Previous experience in field service roles.

• Experience in preventive or corrective maintenance of electro-mechanical or servo-hydraulic equipment.

• Familiarity with materials testing systems.

• Background in delivering technical training to customers in both hands-on and classroom environments.

• Experience in industrial automation or controls.

• Willingness to travel daily throughout Dallas and Texas.

• Approximately 75% of travel will involve overnight stays.

• Ability to comply with company and customer safety guidelines.
