Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Arrange and deliver technical training for distributor personnel, contractors, dealers, and/or installers.

• Evaluate and troubleshoot products from Franklin Electric.

• Oversee and assist with product installations.

• Promote and advocate for Franklin Electric products and programs at trade shows and special events.

• Perform product demonstrations as required.

• Gather and report marketing intelligence regarding competing products, industry distribution, personnel changes, and customer requirements.

• Prepare and submit weekly reports and special reports that highlight issues at specific sites or with customers or products.

• Analyze technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagrammatic form and manage both abstract and concrete variables.

• Relay information and respond to inquiries from customers, clients, the public, and colleagues.

• Report directly to Bob Lilland.

⛳️ Requirements

• Three to five years of relevant experience in water systems or related industries (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience (required).

• Must reside in the Northeast region of the United States.

• Willingness to travel 70 percent of the time, including up to 50 percent for overnight travel.

• Capability to interpret technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagrammatic formats.

• Proficient in effective communication in one-on-one and small group settings.
