Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide support for the Wafer Probe System product.

• Install and commission probers and accessories, ensuring final acceptance aligns with testing and acceptance regulations.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance independently at customer locations within the EMEA service region.

• Prepare commissioning protocols and acceptance documentation.

• Deliver technical training and guidance to clients.

• Troubleshoot and repair probers via remote/telephone support and on-site at customer facilities.

• Process and document work orders and service calls in accordance with FormFactor standards.

• Collaborate with other departments within FormFactor to enhance product offerings.

• Regularly engage in qualification initiatives.

• Comply with health and safety standards both internally and during customer service engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience as an engineer or technician.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with no experience; or equivalent professional background.

• Typically requires 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Silicon Photonics and/or semiconductor testing.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving capabilities.

• Must demonstrate accuracy, punctuality, and possess good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient communication skills in both German and English, both written and verbal.

• Good familiarity with standard MS Office applications.

• A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel are essential.
