Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Support the installation of liquid and gas equipment.

• Diagnose issues with liquid and gas equipment.

• Replace liquid/gas canisters as necessary.

• Ensure the timely return of empty cylinders and canisters.

• Install new or modified equipment at customer locations in accordance with specifications.

• Offer on-site technical support for troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

• Keep performance reports up to date.

• Contribute to the creation of service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering modifications, and product expertise.

• Act as a communication link between customers and the company.

• Ensure customer satisfaction regarding installation, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and engineering change upgrades of Entegris equipment.

• Participate in personal and technical training to maintain engineering proficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A two-year technical school degree in engineering, science, or a chemistry-related field is required.

• A four-year college degree is advantageous.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in field support/service or equivalent experience with a capital equipment company is required.

• Experience with CVD/CMP/WET module EE&PE is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Strong skills in customer interaction are necessary.

• A self-motivated individual with a keen interest in continuous improvement and learning within the semiconductor industry.

• Willingness to travel both within Japan and internationally.

• Availability for on-call duty, including a 24-hour standby phone.
