Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Support the installation of liquid and gas equipment.

• Diagnose issues with liquid and gas equipment.

• Replace liquid/gas canisters as necessary.

• Ensure the timely return of empty cylinders and canisters.

• Install new or modified equipment at customer sites in accordance with specifications.

• Deliver on-site technical assistance for troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

• Be available by phone and on standby for 24-hour on-call duty.

• Keep performance report records up to date.

• Assist in creating service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering modifications, and product knowledge.

• Act as a communication bridge between customers and the company.

• Ensure customer satisfaction with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and engineering change upgrades of Entegris equipment.

• Participate in personal and technical training to enhance professional engineering expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A two-year technical school degree in engineering, science, or a chemistry-related field is required.

• At least 3 years of experience in field support/service or a comparable role within a capital equipment company is required.

• Experience with CVD/CMP/WET module EE&PE is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong skills in customer interaction.

• Self-motivated and eager to pursue continuous improvement and knowledge in the semiconductor industry.

• Willingness to travel within Japan and internationally.

• Capable of performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
