Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Support the installation of liquid and gas equipment.

• Diagnose issues with liquid and gas equipment.

• Execute changes of liquid/gas canisters.

• Ensure the timely return of empty cylinders and canisters.

• Install new or modified equipment at customer locations in accordance with specifications.

• Offer on-site technical support for troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

• Maintain performance reporting.

• Aid in the creation of service manuals and bulletins derived from field investigations, engineering modifications, and product expertise.

• Act as a liaison between customers and the company.

• Guarantee customer satisfaction with installation, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades related to engineering changes.

• Participate in personal and technical training to sustain professional engineering skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• A two-year technical school degree in engineering, science, or chemistry is mandatory.

• A four-year college degree is advantageous.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in field support/service or a comparable role with a capital equipment firm is essential.

• Experience with CVD/CMP/WET module EE&PE is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities are required.

• Skills in customer interaction are necessary.

• Must be self-motivated and eager to pursue continuous improvement and learn about the semiconductor industry.

• Willingness to travel within Japan and internationally is required.

• Must be available for on-duty phone calls and 24-hour on-call standby.
