Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Install, initiate, maintain, and repair IWK equipment on-site, ensuring comprehensive documentation.

• Diagnose issues related to mechanical, electrical, and control systems; provide detailed service reports along with corrective measures.

• Enhance equipment performance through precise adjustments and process modifications.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to exchange field data and promote product enhancements.

• Act as the primary technical representative, fostering professional communication and customer relationships.

• Investigate customer complaints, determine root causes, and propose effective solutions.

• Educate customers on equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Strategically plan and execute daily work schedules for optimal efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Factory Automation, or a related discipline is preferred.

• At least 5 years of practical experience in mechanical and electrical settings, preferably involving automated or packaging machinery.

• Military veterans with equivalent technical training and field experience are highly encouraged to apply.

• Demonstrated proficiency in servicing automated equipment, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

• Familiarity with Schneider Electric control systems and function block programming is highly sought after.

• Basic knowledge of PLC logic and HMI interfaces is essential.

• Capability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and pneumatic diagrams.

• Experience with remote troubleshooting tools such as TeamViewer and NetSupport Manager is advantageous.

• Strong command of English, both written and verbal.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Comfortable working remotely using VPN, intranet, and cloud-based applications.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• A valid passport and driver’s license are required.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%, including international assignments.
