This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.
• Deliver both remote and on-site technical assistance for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems in hospitals and healthcare settings.
• Address, assess, and prioritize incoming work orders.
• Identify, service, and resolve issues related to proprietary hardware and software.
• Maintain ownership of work orders while escalating challenges to the team lead and manager when necessary.
• Record, monitor, and document work order activities thoroughly.
• Offer support for all products within the designated region.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs effectively.
• Provide cross-functional assistance to Sales and Implementation teams.
• Conduct installations, in-servicing, repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and sales support activities.
• Keep an accurate inventory of small parts and adhere to inventory control protocols.
• Engage in ongoing product and application training, and participate in approved seminars.
• Comply with corporate and service department protocols, including customer complaint management and Medical Device Reporting.
• Travel daily to client locations within the Vermont region, with the possibility of 5% overnight travel.
• High School Diploma.
• Three years of relevant experience in Hardware/Software/IT, supporting both proprietary and standard applications.
• Experience with 24x7 on-call responsibilities in a customer-facing or field service context.
• Knowledge of computer electronics, Windows OS, and network systems.
• Capability to operate within established processes and methodologies with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and adherence to BD's automotive safety standards.
• Up-to-date immunizations and additional facility-specific immunizations upon hiring, including Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, annual TB/PPD, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, and COVID-19.
• Ability to lift at least 70 pounds.
• Previous experience as a hospital pharmacy technician or in a hospital Bio-Med environment is advantageous.
• An Associate degree is preferred.
• Previous military Bio-Med experience is a plus.
• Previous experience with Automated Teller Machines (ATM) is a plus.
