This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within a designated territory.
• Seek out new logos, greenfield opportunities, and underrepresented accounts through cold outreach, site visits, referrals, and networking.
• Develop a pipeline and advance deals throughout the entire sales cycle.
• Facilitate value-driven, outcome-oriented sales discussions, challenging customer assumptions and competitor standings.
• Take ownership of territory performance through detailed territory and account plans with measurable growth targets.
• Provide tactical insights to Strategic Account Managers regarding strategic site-level accounts.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales Representatives to ensure comprehensive aftermarket coverage and a seamless customer experience.
• Concentrate on machine sales and related aftermarket prospects while utilizing Inside Sales Representatives for parts and transactional assistance.
• Assess opportunities, address objections, navigate complex purchasing processes, and compete against established incumbents.
• Propel deal momentum through consistent customer interactions, clear next steps, and proactive follow-ups.
• Maintain precise opportunity management, forecasting, and activity tracking within the company's CRM system.
• Monitor KPIs such as new account acquisition, new logo revenue, pipeline velocity, meetings, site visits, decision-maker contacts, and competitive win rates.
• Travel frequently to customer locations within the assigned territory.
• Candidates must reside in the state of Washington.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year institution in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; or four to five years of relevant experience in technical sales, business development, or industrial manufacturing settings; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in an outside B2B field sales position, ideally within a technical, capital equipment, or industrial machinery sales context.
• Background in the plastics injection molding and/or extrusion industry is preferred.
• Proven ability to identify needs, create demand, negotiate effectively, and close deals.
• Competence in delivering persuasive customer presentations and clearly communicating Milacron’s value proposition.
• Strong knowledge of Milacron injection molding machines, retrofit & rebuild services, and related offerings.
• Awareness of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer purchasing behaviors.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time and frequently drive within the region.
• Proficient with cold calling, site visits, networking, and prospecting activities.
• Ability to maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting, and activity tracking within the company’s CRM system.
