Field Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in driving sales growth initiatives within the assigned Business Area

• Collaborate closely with Axis Regional Sales Managers to facilitate both pre- and post-sales opportunities, including vital projects

• Deliver pre-sales engineering and support services

• Create technical sales support documents

• Formulate system design recommendations

• Oversee project management and maintenance tasks

• Conduct training seminars both on-site and via webinars

• Prepare Requests for Proposals and Information

• Coordinate on-site proof-of-concept and trial setups

• Provide comprehensive on-site troubleshooting and solutions

• Collaborate effectively with Regional Sales Managers and sales support teams

• Execute other related duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

• Over 4 years of experience in networking and/or video-related systems, ideally in a customer-facing role

• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, RESTful, infrastructure, troubleshooting, etc.)

• Excellent verbal and listening skills, exhibiting professionalism

• Established reputation for positive customer interaction

• Exceptional presentation abilities

• Proficient technical writing skills, particularly in white papers, manuals, and instructions

• Competent in designing documentation for video, audio, and network topologies

• Resourceful and adaptable

• Capability to lift 20-40 lbs. occasionally

• Ability to climb and remain on ladders or lifts for extended periods

• Comfortable working at heights, including ceilings, ladders, and rooftops

• Willingness to travel up to 75%
