Field Representative – Insurance Inspections

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Arrange and carry out on-site assessments while preparing relevant reports for customers to assess risk.

• Recognize various business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, and safety protocols.

• Create recommendations related to safety and loss prevention strategies.

• Represent Verisk and its clients professionally through phone communication, in-person interactions, and written correspondence.

• Fulfill Verisk’s commitment to data quality by delivering precise and customer-focused reports.

• Assess commercial business locations for various lines of insurance coverage, loss prevention, and risk evaluation.

• Aid insurers in policy underwriting and pricing decisions through onsite evaluations and reporting.

• Organize and plan visits to commercial business sites and prepare accompanying reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; preferred fields of study or experience include Risk Management and Insurance, Construction Management, Property and Liability Insurance, and Safety.

• Preferred experiences may encompass insurance loss control, underwriting, or claims; commercial building construction, compliance, or other property inspections; fire safety and industrial safety roles.

• Exceptional customer service along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to produce concise and informative reports that meet quality standards.

• High level of proficiency with technology, including laptops, mobile devices, MS Office suite, and mobile applications.

• Functional math skills for measuring square footage, perimeter, and percentages.

• Self-driven planning and goal-setting abilities resulting in effective and consistent work habits.

• Competence in efficiently routing, scheduling, documenting, and conducting site visits with minimal supervision.

• Ability to observe and document specific details and measurements, gather data, and travel to and from all sites.

• Capability to work in diverse environments and weather conditions; walk, stand, climb stairs, drive for necessary durations to complete assignments, and occasionally use ladders.

• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record in compliance with company policies.

• Willingness to undertake overnight travel in and out of state as per business requirements.

• Ability to assimilate, learn, and apply training material through virtual or in-person training sessions, recorded media, and on-the-job mentoring.

• A distraction-free remote work environment with a reliable high-speed internet connection.

• Primary residence should be near the specified city or territory.

• Professional certifications such as CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, and/or CPCU are advantageous.
