This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Act as an alternative in-office contact for healthcare provider (HCP) inquiries regarding patient access.
• Directly engage with HCP offices within a designated geographic area.
• Offer specialized knowledge on coverage and access/reimbursement issues impacting AbbVie Neuroscience products.
• Inform HCPs about patient support programs and access/reimbursement resources and services.
• Provide education on product-specific acquisition and access options, including specialty pharmacy networks and distribution channels.
• Share information on resources available for resolving access issues.
• Deliver local insights on national and regional payer policies, payer challenges, coding modifications, and claims submission procedures.
• Coordinate with AbbVie's Access and Reimbursement support center regarding prescription status and eligibility for programs.
• Communicate payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers within the territory.
• Stay informed about managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Neuroscience, with a background in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement.
• In-depth knowledge of technical payer policy processes, systems, and the requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines.
• Familiarity with the rules, regulations, and risks associated with reimbursement support services.
• Capability to convey technical coding and billing information at both national and regional levels across various care settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, along with the associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Knowledge of drug acquisition and dispensing practices in Neuroscience, including specialty pharmacies, distributors, and white-bagging processes.
• Awareness of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant engagement methods.
• Strong territory and account management abilities.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Must meet applicable Healthcare Industry Representative (HCIR) credentialing standards and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses may be required.
