This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Serve as an alternative in-office resource to address healthcare provider (HCP) inquiries regarding patient access.
• Directly engage with HCP offices located within the designated geographic area.
• Provide education to HCPs about patient support initiatives, access and reimbursement tools, and related services.
• Inform on product-specific acquisition and access opportunities, including specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution channels.
• Offer insights into resources designed to tackle access challenges.
• Deliver local expertise regarding national and regional payer policies, coding modifications, and claims submission protocols.
• Coordinate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center concerning prescription statuses and program eligibility.
• Report payer trends for approved products to the Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Develop and sustain relationships with providers within the assigned territory.
• Remain updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Neuroscience, with a background in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement.
• Comprehensive understanding of technical payer policy processes, systems, and requirements related to specialty medicine coverage, coding, and payment.
• Familiarity with the rules, regulations, and risks associated with reimbursement support services.
• Capability to articulate technical coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across various care settings.
• Knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, along with the dynamics of reimbursement.
• Insight into drug acquisition and dispensing in Neuroscience, including specialty pharmacies, specialty distributors, and white-bagging practices.
• Awareness of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction methodologies.
• Proficient in territory and account management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing, or be eligible to obtain such credentials.
