This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary field-based representative for education, assistance, and resolving issues related to patient access to J&J Oncology therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers to evaluate educational needs and promote collaboration among stakeholders.
• Provide education to healthcare providers concerning reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work in conjunction with sales representatives and key account managers as the local expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant discussions regarding access and fulfillment with field support team members.
• Employ data and account management skills to proactively tackle access barriers.
• Address urgent patient access and affordability challenges with a sense of responsibility.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues on existing policies and potential modifications.
• Provide field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers in the designated accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business strategies.
• Stay informed on market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Work alongside internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards while completing required training.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement in a provider office setting.
• Proficient in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Background in reimbursement or relevant managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Strong ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and formulate solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with efficient follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residence within the specified territory.
• Preferably, experience in oncology disease states.
• Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding is a plus.
• Strong understanding of market access and business acumen is preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives is advantageous.
• Technical knowledge of payer policies, including coding, coverage, and payment is preferred.
• Proficient in using salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
