This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, assistance, and resolution of issues related to patient access for J&J Oncology therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers to evaluate educational needs and enhance collaboration among stakeholders.
• Provide education to healthcare professionals (HCPs) regarding reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work in conjunction with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care professionals, and other field support teams.
• Position yourself as the local team’s expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant discussions surrounding access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management expertise to proactively mitigate access barriers.
• Address urgent patient access and affordability challenges with responsibility and promptness.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers in assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Offer subject matter expertise on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Complete necessary training and conduct business in alignment with ethical, legal, and compliance standards.
• A bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office setting.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Background in reimbursement or managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and exert influence across a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and develop solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards.
• Permanent residence within the assigned territory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medication access channels, including pharmacy and medical benefit, buy & bill, and/or assignment of benefit.
• Ability to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data.
• Capacity to stay updated on product coverage, access information, market conditions, and stakeholder practices.
• Flexibility to adapt to the evolving healthcare landscape and tailor resources and messaging for HCPs and their staff.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Preferred experience in oncology disease states.
• An advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives influencing pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
