This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Act as the main field-based leader for education, support, and resolution of issues pertaining to patient access to J&J Oncology treatments.
• Provide training to healthcare providers and office personnel regarding reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Dedicate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers to evaluate educational needs and promote collaboration among stakeholders.
• Partner with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care teams, and other field support units.
• Tackle urgent patient access and affordability challenges effectively.
• Offer field-based reimbursement and access assistance, education, and innovative problem-solving under the FRM Rules of Engagement.
• Establish trust-based relationships with clients across designated Oncology accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business strategies.
• Keep abreast of national, regional, local, and account market dynamics, including coverage and coding requirements.
• Acquire knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels to enhance practice and patient support.
• Work in collaboration with internal J&J departments such as marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Conduct business in alignment with ethical, legal, and compliance standards while completing necessary training.
• Anticipate changes in product coverage, access knowledge, market conditions, and stakeholder practices.
• Tailor resources and messaging for healthcare providers and staff.
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Account Management and/or Reimbursement experience within a provider office environment.
• Proven proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing.
• Reimbursement or relevant managed care experience, encompassing revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeal processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access situations and devise solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with effective follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• Willingness to maintain up to 50% travel consistently.
• Permanent residence within the designated territory.
• Preferred: experience in oncology disease states.
• Preferred: advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives that impact pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement.
• Preferred technical familiarity with payer policy, including coding, coverage, and payment.
• Preferred skills in using Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Commitment to learning about emerging technologies such as AI.
