This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, support, and resolution of issues related to patient access for J&J Oncology therapies.
• Provide education to healthcare providers and office personnel on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Dedicate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers, evaluating educational needs, and promoting collaboration among stakeholders.
• Work in partnership with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal J&J departments.
• Address urgent patient access and affordability challenges promptly.
• Offer field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish trust-based relationships with clients across assigned Oncology accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Acquire knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer types.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards and complete all required training.
• Track product coverage, access knowledge, marketplace conditions, and stakeholder practices.
• Tailor resources and messaging for healthcare providers and their staff.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience is necessary.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office environment.
• Proven expertise with pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing.
• Relevant experience in reimbursement or managed care, encompassing revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address complex access scenarios and identify prompt, efficient solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities along with effective follow-through.
• Familiarity with patient support HUB services is preferred.
• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards are required.
• Willingness to maintain up to 50% travel consistently.
• Permanent residence within the specified territory is necessary.
• Experience in the Oncology disease state is preferred.
• An advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding is preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement is important.
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• A commitment to learning about emerging technologies, such as AI, is preferred.
