This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide education to healthcare providers regarding patient support programs, access, and reimbursement support tools and services.
• Inform providers about product-specific acquisition and access options, such as specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging support.
• Advise providers on resources that address access challenges.
• Offer local insights on national and regional payer policies, payer issues, coding updates, and correct claims submission procedures.
• Collaborate with internal Oncology stakeholders on key account management initiatives.
• Report payer trends related to approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and nurture relationships with relevant providers in the designated territory.
• Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Operate as a field-based representative within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
• Preferred experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology.
• Strongly preferred background in physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models.
• Proven understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and operations of patient support programs.
• Strong grasp of technical coding and billing requirements and the capability to communicate these across all care settings at national and regional levels.
• In-depth knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and their associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Must meet all applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them.
• Exceptional territory and account management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid driver's license is necessary.
• Preferred 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
• Extensive experience in educating others on payer processes, coverage requirements, and access-related issues for specialty medications is preferred.
• A strong track record of leadership in the current role is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time is required.
