This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide education to healthcare professionals regarding patient support programs, access, and reimbursement support tools and services.
• Offer insights on product-specific acquisition and access alternatives, which include specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging assistance.
• Inform about resources available to tackle access challenges.
• Deliver localized knowledge on national and regional payer policies, payer challenges, coding updates, and the correct processes for claims submission.
• Collaborate with internal Oncology stakeholders on key account management initiatives.
• Communicate payer trends for approved products to the Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and sustain relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.
• Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology.
• Preferred background in physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models.
• Comprehensive understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and operations of patient support programs.
• Proven ability to communicate technical coding and billing requirements effectively at both national and regional levels across various care settings.
• Knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, along with the associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing standards and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Exceptional skills in territory and account management.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid driver’s license necessary.
• Preferably, 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
• Extensive experience in educating others about payer processes, coverage mandates, and access scenarios for specialty medicines is preferred.
• A strong record of leadership in the current position is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• Must reside within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
