This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Provide education to healthcare professionals regarding patient support programs, as well as access and reimbursement support services.
• Inform about product-specific acquisition methods and access options, which include specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging support.
• Share information on resources available to tackle access-related issues.
• Offer local insight into national and regional payer policies, payer concerns, coding updates, and claims submission procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Oncology for effective key account management.
• Report trends related to payers for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and sustain relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.
• Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and operations of patient support programs.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across all care settings.
• In-depth understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D along with related reimbursement dynamics.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing, or be eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• Strong skills in territory and account management.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid driver's license is necessary.
• Preferably 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
• Significant experience in educating others about payer processes, coverage requirements, and access situations for specialty medications is preferred.
• A proven leadership track record in the current role is favored.
