This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
β’ Provide education to healthcare providers regarding patient support programs, as well as access and reimbursement support tools and services.
β’ Inform providers about product-specific acquisition and access alternatives, which include specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging assistance.
β’ Guide providers on the resources available to resolve access challenges.
β’ Offer local expertise concerning national and regional payer policies, payer issues, coding updates, and appropriate claims submission procedures.
β’ Collaborate with internal Oncology stakeholders on critical account management.
β’ Communicate payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.
β’ Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
β’ Travel approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory.
β’ Strongly preferred experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology.
β’ Preferred experience with physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models.
β’ Demonstrated knowledge of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and operations of patient support programs.
β’ Ability to effectively communicate technical coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across all care settings.
β’ In-depth understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D along with associated reimbursement dynamics.
β’ Must meet all applicable HCIR credentialing standards and be in good standing or eligible to acquire the necessary credentials.
β’ Exceptional territory and account management capabilities.
β’ Bachelor's degree required.
β’ Valid driver's license needed.
β’ Preferred 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
β’ Extensive experience in educating others about payer processes, coverage prerequisites, and access-related situations for specialty medications is preferred.
β’ Strong leadership track record in the current role is preferred.
