This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Provide education to healthcare professionals regarding patient support programs, as well as access and reimbursement support tools and services.
β’ Inform healthcare professionals about product-specific acquisition and access options, which include specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging support.
β’ Guide providers on the resources available to tackle access challenges.
β’ Offer local expertise concerning national and regional payer policies, payer challenges, coding modifications, and suitable claims submission processes.
β’ Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Oncology for effective key account management.
β’ Report trends related to payers for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.
β’ Stay informed about developments in managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
β’ Operate in a field-based role within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
β’ Prior experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology is highly preferred.
β’ Experience with physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models is strongly preferred.
β’ Proven understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and operations of patient support programs.
β’ Solid understanding of and ability to communicate technical coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across all care settings.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, along with associated reimbursement dynamics.
β’ Must meet all relevant health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentials.
β’ May be required to undergo background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and obtain state- or city-specific licenses.
β’ Outstanding territory and account management capabilities.
β’ A bachelor's degree is required.
β’ A valid driver's license is necessary.
β’ Preferably 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
β’ Extensive experience in educating others about payer processes, coverage requirements, and access-related issues for specialty medicines is preferred.
β’ A strong track record of leadership within the current role is favored.
