Field Reimbursement Manager, Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide education to healthcare professionals regarding patient support programs, access resources, and reimbursement tools and services.

• Inform about product-specific acquisition and access options, including networks for specialty pharmacies, specialty distribution, and white-bagging assistance.

• Share information on available resources to tackle access challenges.

• Offer local expertise concerning national and regional payer policies.

• Educate providers on payer-related issues, coding modifications, and the appropriate processes for claims submission.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Oncology for effective key account management.

• Report payer trends for approved products to the Patient Services and MHC account management teams.

• Build and sustain relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.

• Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.

• Travel approximately 50% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

• Candidates may be located in Miami, FL, or Tampa, FL.

• Experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology is highly preferred.

• Background in physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models is strongly preferred.

• Proven understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policies, affordability support, and operations of patient support programs.

• Strong ability to communicate technical coding and billing requirements across all care settings at national and regional levels.

• In-depth knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D along with the related reimbursement dynamics.

• Must fulfill all relevant healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements.

• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to acquire the necessary HCIR credentials.

• May require background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.

• Excellent skills in territory and account management.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A valid driver’s license is necessary.

• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management is preferred.

• Significant experience in educating others on payer processes, coverage requirements, and access-related scenarios for specialty medicines is preferred.

• A strong history of leadership in the current role is preferred.
