This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Provide education to healthcare providers regarding patient support programs, as well as access and reimbursement assistance tools and services.
• Inform providers about product-specific acquisition and access options, encompassing specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging support.
• Guide providers on the resources available to resolve access challenges.
• Offer local expertise on national and regional payer policies, related issues, coding updates, and the correct processes for claims submission.
• Collaborate with various internal Oncology stakeholders for effective key account management.
• Report on payer trends for approved products to the Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and sustain relationships with relevant providers in the designated territory.
• Stay informed about managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Conduct field-based work within the territory, involving approximately 50% travel.
• Strongly preferred experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology.
• Preferred background in physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursement, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or intricate access models.
• Proven understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and patient support program operations.
• Capability to convey technical coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across all care settings.
• In-depth knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, along with the associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Must meet all relevant healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• Exceptional skills in territory and account management.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Preferred 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
• Preferred experience in educating others about payer processes, coverage criteria, and access-related issues for specialty medications.
• Preferred strong history of leadership in the current role.
• Ability to reside within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
