This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Train healthcare professionals on patient support initiatives, as well as access and reimbursement assistance tools and services.
• Inform providers about product-specific acquisition and access methods, including specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging assistance.
• Provide information about available resources to tackle access challenges.
• Offer local insights on national and regional payer policies, payer challenges, coding updates, and claims submission procedures.
• Work collaboratively with internal Oncology stakeholders on key account management.
• Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant providers within the designated territory.
• Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Travel is expected to be about 50% of the time.
• Experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with physician-administered therapies, buy-and-bill products, medical benefit reimbursements, specialty distribution/pharmacy, or complex access models is preferred.
• Knowledge of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, claims submission, payer policy, affordability support, and patient support program operations.
• Ability to convey technical coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across various care settings.
• Understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and the related reimbursement dynamics.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing criteria and be in good standing or eligible to acquire the necessary credentials.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses may be required.
• Excellent skills in territory and account management.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A valid driver's license is necessary.
• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management is preferred.
• Experience in educating others on payer processes, coverage requirements, and access-related issues for specialty medications is preferred.
• A proven record of leadership in the current role is preferred.
