This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, support, and problem-solving with healthcare providers and their office personnel concerning patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers and staff to evaluate educational needs and promote collaboration among stakeholders.
• Instruct healthcare providers on reimbursement procedures, claims submissions, operational protocols, and payer coding requirements.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and key account managers, serving as the local expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant discussions regarding access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management expertise to proactively identify and address access challenges.
• Resolve critical issues related to patient access and affordability.
• Team up with managed care colleagues to discuss current policies and potential modifications.
• Provide field-based support for reimbursement and access, including education and problem resolution.
• Establish trust-based relationships with customers within assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Keep abreast of market dynamics, coverage options, and coding requirements.
• Acquire knowledge about hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Work together with marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS departments.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer plans.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards while completing mandatory training.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office environment.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Experience in reimbursement or relevant managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with effective follow-through.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residence within the designated territory.
• Preferred experience in neuroscience disease states.
• Advanced degrees (MBA) or public health degrees (MPH) are preferred.
• Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• This position requires travel up to 75% of the time.
