This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the principal field lead for education, support, and issue resolution with healthcare providers and their office staff concerning patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Spend up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and their staff.
• Evaluate educational needs and promote collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide training to HCPs on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work alongside sales representatives and key account managers as the local expert in access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant discussions about access and fulfillment.
• Leverage data and account management skills to proactively tackle access barriers.
• Address significant issues related to patient access and affordability.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues on existing policies and potential modifications.
• Execute field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships within assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Work in conjunction with internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and Commercial plans.
• Complete assignments in alignment with ethical, legal, and compliance standards and required training.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within the provider office environment.
• Proficiency in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Experience in reimbursement or relevant managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and develop timely, efficient solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with effective follow-through.
• Familiarity with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards.
• Permanent residence in the designated territory.
• Experience in neuroscience disease states is preferred.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business acumen is preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of payer policy, including coding, coverage, and payment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
