This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Act as the primary on-site leader for education, support, and problem resolution concerning patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Dedicate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers and their office teams.
• Provide education to healthcare professionals on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Work alongside sales representatives and key account managers as the local expert in access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate discussions on compliant access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management expertise to proactively address access challenges.
• Tackle critical patient access and affordability issues with a sense of urgency and responsibility.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues regarding current and upcoming policy changes.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with customers within assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Expand knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Work in partnership with internal J&J departments such as marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and commercial plans.
• Carry out business activities in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards as well as required training.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement in a provider office environment.
• Proficient understanding of pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Background in reimbursement or managed care, particularly in revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and exert influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities along with effective follow-through.
• Experience in working with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residency in the designated territory.
• Experience with neuroscience disease states is preferred.
• An MBA, MPH, advanced degree, or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business acumen are preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives is preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• Willingness to embrace emerging technologies such as AI.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
