This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Act as the main field-based leader for education, support, and resolution of issues related to patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of time on-site with healthcare providers and their office staff.
• Evaluate the educational needs of healthcare providers (HCPs) and promote collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Provide training to HCPs on reimbursement practices, claims submission, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and various internal J&J departments.
• Function as an expert on access, fulfillment, and reimbursement for the local team.
• Lead discussions focused on compliant access and fulfillment.
• Utilize data and account management skills to overcome access obstacles.
• Tackle urgent patient access and affordability concerns.
• Offer field-based reimbursement and access assistance, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with clients in designated accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, coverage, and coding prerequisites.
• Gain knowledge about hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across various payer types.
• Complete necessary training and conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in healthcare or business/public administration).
• At least 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement in a provider office environment.
• Proficiency with pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Experience in reimbursement or relevant managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Capability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective follow-through.
• Familiarity with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Permanent residency in the designated territory.
• Experience in the neuroscience disease state is preferred.
• Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Strong market access and business insight.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology product reimbursement.
• Technical understanding of payer policies, coding, coverage, and payment is preferred.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
• Commitment to embracing emerging technologies such as AI.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
