This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, support, and problem-solving for healthcare providers and office personnel concerning patient access to J&J Neuroscience therapies.
• Allocate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers and staff to evaluate educational needs and encourage stakeholder collaboration.
• Provide education to HCPs regarding reimbursement procedures, claims submissions, processes, and payer coding requirements.
• Work alongside sales representatives, key account managers, and field support teams as the local expert in access, fulfillment, and reimbursement.
• Facilitate compliant discussions on access and fulfillment.
• Employ data and account management capabilities to proactively tackle access challenges.
• Respond with urgency and accountability to critical patient access and affordability concerns.
• Collaborate with managed care colleagues on existing policies and potential updates.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access assistance, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with clients in assigned accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed on market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Enhance understanding of hub and specialty distribution channels.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, commercial, and other payer types.
• Conduct business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards and complete necessary training.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.
• A Bachelor’s degree (ideally in healthcare or business/public administration).
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within a provider office setting, fostering strong customer relationships.
• Proven expertise in pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefit design, coding, billing, prior authorizations, office operations, and appeals processes.
• Relevant experience in reimbursement or managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Strong ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and develop timely and effective solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with efficient follow-up.
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record meeting company standards.
• Permanent residence in the specified territory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medication access channels, including pharmacy and medical benefit, buy & bill, and/or assignment of benefit (AOB).
• Capacity to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data.
• Ability to stay current on product coverage, access knowledge, market conditions, and stakeholder practices.
• Adaptability to the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Preferred: experience in neuroscience disease states.
• Preferred: advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding.
• Strong market access and business acumen.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology reimbursement.
• Preferred: technical knowledge of payer policy, including coding, coverage, and payment.
• Preferred: proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Commitment to embracing emerging technologies such as AI.
• Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year.
